Sources applied

  • Formulas: difference = actual − budget; percentage = difference / absolute budget × 100. Favourable means a positive income difference or a negative cost difference.
  • Figures: supplied by you. No statutory rate or threshold is applied. No external source is applied; the favourability convention is the usual management-accounting one.

How it works

Difference = actual − budget. Percentage = difference / absolute budget × 100. A zero budget has no percentage comparison. Positive income differences are favourable; positive cost differences are unfavourable. Explain causes from the records.
